BezetBevrijd: Augmented Reality App for History Enthusiasts
BezetBevrijd is a free educational app that uses Augmented Reality (AR) to bring history to life. Developed by BezetBevrijd, this app unlocks videos and 3D models from the BezetBevrijd books. You can watch a Sherman Tank appear on your book and get a closer look at every detail. Additionally, you can scan photos from the chapters to reveal original images from World War II.
The app offers 3D models of iconic weapons and vehicles like the Sherman Tank for a detailed view from all angles. You can also watch historical videos and listen to audio clips from radio broadcasts to experience the story through the voices of the past.
To activate the AR, search for the special icon in the book, open the app, and point your device's camera at the page.
BezetBevrijd is available for free on Android devices with a camera on the front and back, running Android 4.0 or higher, and ARMv7 NEON processors. Devices with INTEL ATOM are not officially supported.
